St Anne & All Saints Church

At St Anne and All Saints, we have a broadly inclusive and affirming Anglo-Catholic tradition, valuing, and including people from various backgrounds and outlooks. Our community life together is rooted in the gentle rhythms of community and loving service.

On Sundays, we try to incorporate the beauty of ritual and liturgy into our gatherings, typically using texts from Common Worship. Nevertheless, we also appreciate the poetic richness of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP 1662).

We affirm all who wish to visit, occasionally drop by, participate, or join us.  You are welcome to contact us or to attend our gatherings at the Church on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. on Miles Street!

St Mary’s Eco Church

St Mary’s Eco Church was created by the Anglican Diocese of Southwark in response to the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis.

Like how different organisms form communities, we see St Mary’s as a metaphorical wildflower meadow formed of small communities of distinct species, all connected beneath the soil. Frequently spotted in Archbishop’s Park.

Join us for the CLC staff’s weekly Eucharist on Tuesday noon, accompanied by a short reflection, where guests are warmly welcomed!

The Lutheran Church in Great Britain’s (LCiGB) office and the Council of Lutheran Churches (CLC) are located at 46-48 Webber Street in London SE1 8QW.

St George’s Cathedral

Since 1848, St George’s Cathedral has provided a beacon of light for Catholics in London and across the south-east of England. For well over a century and a half it has been the mother church for the Archdiocese of Southwark – now numbering 178 parishes – and the seat of our Archbishop.

St George’s is not just a building: it is a house of prayer and a place of worship for a wide and varied congregation. Some, like me, were born practically next door, while others have travelled halfway around the world to make their home here.

We join in the task of worshipping God and forming missionary disciples to go out and spread the Good News across our homes and communities.

Our cathedral offers Mass, opportunities for confession, a place for quiet prayer, a venue for joyful celebration, and comfort for those who grieve. I hope you will find this website useful in learning about all the rich offerings we hope to share.

Whether online or in person, you are most welcome here at St George’s Cathedral!

King’s College London Chaplaincy

King’s College London has multi-faith Chaplaincies at each of its five campuses. The Chaplaincies at St Thomas’ & Waterloo Campuses fall within the area of South Bank Churches. The Chaplaincy is here to serve the King’s community and part of that is to provide pastoral support and accompaniment to students as they navigate their way through their studies and to staff in their work.

The Chaplaincy Team includes chaplains from a variety of Christian traditions (Lutheran, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Church of England) as well as other faith traditions (Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu Buddhist).

The Chaplaincy often offers advice to students or staff to help them find a supportive church community in London, especially if they have moved away from their home church!

The Chaplaincy space at St Thomas’ & Waterloo Campuses hosts regular morning prayer and hospitality events for the King’s Community.

You can get in touch with the Chaplaincy Team at: chaplaincy@kcl.ac.uk

Christ Church Blackfriars

Christ Church Blackfriars is a small Anglican Parish Church and community hall located at the south of the Blackfriars Bridge area at Southbank!

As a church, we seek to draw specifically on the Christian contemplative tradition with a focus on Christian spirituality and prayer. We seek to be a hub promoting wellbeing, openness, inclusion, generosity and to be rooted in the Christian tradition.

Our focus is to live a rhythm of life focused on prayer and action in following the way of God.

For families we have a regular Sunday morning family service at 10am with Sunday school and once a monthly storytelling and Godly Play to open up Christian spirituality through creativity.  Every Sunday and during the weekdays (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) we have a rhythm or prayer and meditation for those in and outside of the church – Find out more about this at www.ccblackfriars.org!

In addition we also have a new spiritual community for those who want to explore monastic and contemplative Christian spirituality more deeply! This occurs on Wednesdays and Sunday evenings, with a rhythm of prayer and action seeking to be a dispersed Christian community, where Christchurch is the mother house.

Whether you consider yourself a Christian wanting to go deeper into spirituality, or someone on a non-religious spiritual journey seeking a spiritual community to develop your meditation practice – All are welcome to come and join us!

St John’s Waterloo

We believe that Jesus calls us to welcome everyone!

St. John the Evangelist, the church by the roundabout in Waterloo, is highly inclusive. Amid our (usually) hectic city, we provide sanctuary, contemplation, and spiritual enrichment. In the face of social injustice and deep need, we respond with action.

Our worship is in the Anglican catholic tradition. Our congregation is made up of LGBT+ people, married people, single people, children, and adults. We also offer a warm welcome to students studying in London. We have people from the UK, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Germany, the USA, Australia, Malaysia, and many other places – Everyone is welcome!

We are also strong supporters of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and want to be sure that everyone is heard and valued, reflecting God’s love for all.

Through our charity, The Bridge at Waterloo, we provide therapy, counselling, creative activities, employment and resilience training for homeless people, young people, and other local people for whom life’s challenges are now even more acute.

Oasis Church Waterloo

Oasis Church Waterloo is a community of ordinary people exploring life together, where everyone is welcomed. Our mission is simply this: To be an example of what an inclusive community, living Christ’s way, looks and acts like.

Our Sunday morning service starts at 11am. It’s relaxed and informal, with some songs led by a band, prayer, and a talk from our minister Nathan Jones, or one of the rest of the team. We also have a parent/carer and baby space, and groups for children and young people. We also have a fortnightly evening service, Oasis Under The Arches, which is aimed at those around 18-30 years old.

Many people come to us because of our inclusive faith – whatever your background, gender, sexuality, you’re welcome to play a full part!

However, there’s much more to our church than just the Sunday services. We’re part of a wider charity which seeks to create community and help people reach their God-given potential.

Here at Waterloo, we’re engaged in a range of activities, from foodbanks to debt advice, choirs to youth work and much more, all of which is an outworking of our desire to become the best example of ourselves and live like Jesus in our local community. For over 20 years, we’ve fostered inclusion and belonging in Waterloo, engaging volunteers, parents, and churchgoers to build a thriving, valued community.

We’d love you to join us, and there’s room for everyone to get involved!
